Omar was born in Mexico City, where at an early age, he was drawn to philosophy, spirituality, metaphysics, and other ways of knowing. He has studied Eastern approaches to healing including Taoism, Reiki, and Reflexology.

  After a visit to an Ashram near his family's hacienda in Veracruz, Mexico, Omar began to practice yoga and meditation at UNAM (National Autonomous University Mexico). There is learned the princiiples and foundation of Hatha Yoga in the style of Iyengar.  To this day, Omar remains devoted to this type of approach.

Throughout his 25-year career, Omar has taught yoga in various tourist destinations around Mexico from Baja, California to Tulum and now in the United States. Upon moving to Indianapolis, Omar has received the RYT-200 certificate at The Yoga Center where he taught yoga, mindfulness, and meditation for several years.

Apart from his devotion to yoga and meditation, Omar has a passion for studying ancient schools of wisdom and trekking to historic sacred sites around the world including Egypt, Turkey, New Zealand, and Mexico. He is the editor/publisher of a Spanish language meditation book entitled Yo Soy El Codygo Yo Soy with plans to translate the book into English. Omar is also a master swimmer, hiker, world traveler, and nature-lover.
