Soul Shop | May 29th Qoya | 6:30-8pm

Soul Shop is a weekly class, hosted every Monday night at The Playful Soul from 6:30-8pm.

Stop in and hear from a variety of artists, holistic healers, authors, and various instructors from the community. Each week will feature a different facilitator with a fun and informative workshop! Learn more about all the great things we offer here at The Playful Soul!

May 22ndJim & Kathy Johnson: Intro to Qigong

Join Jim and Kathy Johnson of Classical Systems to learn the gentle and powerful practices of Qigong and Tai Chi. Qigong is the process of focusing on the body’s vital energy to obtain a balanced and healthy state. As a person’s practice develops, they should begin to experience improved mental concentration in daily activities as a result of the mental focus involved in the practices. Practitioners also typically experience a calmer, more relaxed, attitude in their daily affairs.

Jennifer Malins: HeartMath Intro

In this one-hour mini-workshop, you will get a taste of the upcoming
workshop series, “Tap into Wellness.”  In the workshop series, which starts
in September, participants will learn various techniques from the HeartMath
method for stress management, and then use those techniques to develop a
mindful eating practice.  In this introductory workshop, you will do fun,
yet introspective exercises to understand your core values and raise your
vibration.  Then, you will learn the foundational piece of the HeartMath
program on which all of the other steps are built, which incorporates
breath work and tapping into the heart’s 40,000 neurons.  The session will
conclude with another exercise to help you kick off your mindful eating
practice by using the technique you learned.
